The Chief Executive Officer of Tigo Ghana Limited, Roshi Motman, has been named the second most young, promising and prominent female executive on Sweden’s list of 75 outstanding women.
At an awards ceremony held in Stockholm by Swedish based NGO, Ledana (The Leaders), Roshi Motman was acknowledged for her outstanding contributions in turning around the fortunes of the telecommunication company, Tigo Ghana.
A citation presented to her, among other things, also touted her all inclusive leadership style.
Ms. Motman expressed gratitude for the vote of confidence by the jury and thanked her leadership team in Ghana for their continued support.
“I see myself as a conductor. My role is not to make the music but to ensure I have the best team that can play various tunes so together we can make great music,” she said.
Roshi Motman joined Tigo Ghana in April 2014. Under her able and forward leadership, a new Tigo has emerged, aggressively trying to recapture lost grounds.
The various innovations by Tigo had also culminated in nine nominations for the upcoming Ghana Telecom Awards.
They include Innovative Product of the Year; Mobile Money Service of the Year; Mobile Broadband Internet of the Year; Marketing Campaign of the Year; Telecom Brand of the Year; CSR Company of the Year; and Mobile Operator of the Year.
For the ninth year running, Ledana has organised the top female executive awards with a reputation for protecting the interests of managers and understanding the managerial role of Swedish leaders.
