With proven economic growth rates and a growing market for private investments, Ghana is emerging as a highly attractive partner for American investors to consider. Its status as a member the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) combined with its huge potential to develop natural resources will facilitate the birth of international partnerships within the power sector, driving economic development and encouraging job creation.
EnergyNet’s conference Powering Africa: Ghana in Accra this September highlighted the Power Minister, Hon. Kwabena Donkor’s commitment to finding solutions to Ghana’s power supply challenges, encouraging private investment to support generation, transmission and distribution assets in the power sector.
The annual Powering Africa: Summit investment conference will take placefrom 27-29th January 2016 at the Mariott Marquis, Washington, D.C.
