The murder of political activist and singer, Haacaaluu Hundeessaa in Ethiopia, which led to protest last week has caused the death of 239 people.
The protest has continued and spread all over Ethiopia and abroad including a demonstration in Beirut’s Martyrs’ Square in Lebanon.
The government in Ethiopia has turned off the internet for several days from the day. Its claimed that some people were killed and their properties burnt.
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Moussa Faki Mahamat has called for calm and appealed to the Ethiopia Government to bring the perpetrators of such heinous act to face justice & encourages all sides to resolve differences.
Entertainer Hachalu Hundessa was a young man with a powerful voice who sings political songs to oppose political and economic oppression was shot last week Monday night at the outskirts of Addis Ababa according to FANA Broadcasting Corporate.
