Mr. Mohammad Soleymani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran has called on the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Alhaji InusahFuseini and declared Iran’s intention to construct a Community Centre at Kumbungu in the Northern Region.
A statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry signed by Ms Victoria Antwi Sarpong said the Iranian Ambassador also sought Alhaji Fuseni’s co-operation and help for some Iranian delegation that would visit Ghana in the course of the year.
Mr. Soleymani said his country was also prepared to receive President John Dramani Mahama, who will be visiting the Republic of Iran at the instance of the Iranian President.
Alhaji Fuseini expressed his appreciation on behalf of the country to the Iranian government and reassured the Ambassador of his preparedness to work with the people of Iran.
He said Ghana was ready to learn from Iran since there was no need to reinvent the wheel in areas where Iran had already set the pace.
