Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Information and Media Relations, on Wednesday said government would collaborate with the Australian High Commission towards the development of Ghana.
“I am looking forward to my ministry and your office exploring possible areas of collaboration towards the development of the country,” he said.
Mr Ayariga said Australia has considerable expertise in mining and Ghana looks forward to the transfer of technology to the benefit of the country.
“In the area of mining, I am looking forward to a greater collaboration between the two countries,” he stressed, when the Australian High Commissioner, Madam Joanna Adamson paid a courtesy call on him in Accra on Wednesday.
Mr Ayariga said relations between Ghana and Australia had come a long way and expressed the hope that the ties would be strengthened.
“I am looking forward to the two countries working together in the dissemination of accurate information,” he said
Madam Adamson said relations between Australia and Ghana had existed for many years and looked forward to strengthening of the ties.
