The Royal Danish Embassy in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut in Ghana will on Thursday, June 24, 2014, organize a free screening of “The Expedition to the End of the World” movie at the Goethe-Institut in Accra.
“The Expedition to the End of the World”, a Danish-produced movie, is about the origins of the world, the end of human civilization, and life on earth once we are gone.
It captures the adventurous journey of Filmmakers Daniel Dencik, Janus Metz, and Michael Haslund-Christensen to the world of the unknown, as they accompany an expedition of scientists and artists to the northeast of Greenland, where melting large quantities of ice (glaciers) have given access to areas almost completely untouched by human hands.
The screening of “The Expedition to the End of the World” is first of several films of
Danish origin earmarked for the month of July, 2014 by the Goethe-Institut, which have been provided by the Danish Film Institute courtesy the Danish Embassy in Accra, in a bid to further promote Danish arts and culture in the country.

Thursday, June 24, 2014, at exactly 7pm at the premises of the Goethe-Institut in Cantonment, Accra.
The Goethe-Institut is a cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, which primarily aims at promoting the knowledge of the German language as well as foster international cultural cooperation.
