A former security boss at the Kotoka International Airport, Solomon Adelaquaye, has been arrested in the United States for drug trafficking.
Adelaquaye who is Managing Director of Sohin Security was picked up with three others-two Nigerians and a Columbian for their roles in a drug trafficking syndicate which had been operating in the West Africa sub-region.
The Narcotic Control Board confirmed the arrest in a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Mr Yaw Akrasi Sarpong.
According to the statement, the arrest was as a result of a corporation with the Drugs Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the Department of Justice of the United States of America.
The statement named the other arrested suspects as Frank Chima Moudum and Celestine Ofor all Nigerians and Samuel Antonio Pinedu-Rueda, a Columbian.The Narcotics Control Board of Ghana, NACOB has busted a Ghanaian and three other nationals involved in drugs trafficking.
Mr. Solomon Adelaquaye is the Managing Director of Sohin Security Services Limited which until recently provided security services at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
