German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Ghana on Monday for a three-day official visit.
He was met on arrival at the Jubilee Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
By 2000 hours the German Airforce Plane carrying the German President had touched down at the Kotoka International Airport.
The German Leader would, on Tuesday, December 12, meet with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House, where the two would hold discussions centered on deepening ties between both countries and increasing bilateral arrangements based on trade and investment.
President Steinmeier would also attend and open an Economic Forum organised by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana with German–Ghana companies at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra.
Whilst in the country, the German President is expected to visit the Scania Training Workshop at the Tema Free Zones Enclave, and later visit the University of Ghana, Legon, to open the Merian International Centre for Advanced Studies and subsequently hold discussion with experts and students of the University.
He is also expected to visit the Ridge Hospital and the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) at Teshie on Wednesday, December 13, and later have a roundtable discussion with Young Ghanaian Entrepreneurs of iSpace Ghana before his final departure.
