Colombian Ambassador to Ghana Claudia Jurbay has bemoaned the under-utilization of Ghana’s eco-tourism spots.
She made a whistle stop at Tamale Sports Stadium on her way to the Mole National Park in the West Gonja District.
Her Excellency Claudia Jurbay told Citi News that Ghana’s government could rake enough revenue from the tourism sector to develop other sectors of the economy if well utilized.
She pledged her government’s financial commitment to boost Ghana’s tourism sector.
She stated, “There is a great potential for tourism in Ghana and the idea is to develop it and our presence in Ghana particularly among many other things is focusing on tourism to see how we can promote the Ghanaian tourism in Colombian.”
The Colombian Ambassador said her government will deepen its collaboration with Ghana to improve trade, science education, human and food security.
President of the Ghana Tourism Federation, David Nana Anim said he was proud of the Northern Region’s tourism potentials, hence his decision to facilitate the Colombian Ambassadors visit to the Mole National Park.
