President John Dramani Mahama has left Accra for New Delhi, India, to participate in the 3rd India- Africa Forum Summit.
The summit, which was first held in 2008, would enable leaders of the continent to hold consultations with the Indian government at the highest political level and give a new thrust to the existing relations.
Accompanied by First Lady, Lordina Mahama, President Mahama would hold private bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi meet with the Chairman and Managing Director of India’s EXIM Bank and address an investment and entrepreneurial forum.
According to a statement from the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau and copied to the Ghana News Agency, the President would also interact with the Ghanaian Community in New Delhi and grant audience to chief executives officers of a number of leading Indian businesses.
Also on the delegation are the Foreign Minister, Hanna S. Tetteh and Finance Minister Seth E. Terkper.
